How do I track my order?
As soon as your order is placed, you’ll receive a confirmation email so you know it’s been received.
Your garment then goes into production here in the Leeds studio. Once it’s been cut, sewn, finished, checked and shipped, you’ll automatically receive another email with your tracking number and a link to follow the delivery.
If the tracking ever looks strange or you’re unsure where your parcel is, just get in touch and we’ll happily look into it for you.
Do you offer returns?
Yes, of course.
Buying clothes online can sometimes be a bit of a gamble with fit, so if something isn’t quite right, we’ll always try to make it as easy as possible for you.
Because free alterations are available, a fit issue can often be fixed and the piece sent back out to you at no extra cost. If you’d rather return it, refunds or store credit are also available in line with the returns policy.
The only exception is if a garment has been altered specifically to measurements you requested. Once it’s been customised for you, it can’t be resold, so it becomes non-refundable. Even then, further alterations can usually be made, so you’re not left stuck with something that doesn’t work for you.
You can read the full returns information here.
Do you do alterations?
Yes — absolutely. Free alterations are part of the service and something the team handles all the time.
Most commonly that means adjusting things like trouser inseams, sleeve length, pit-to-pit or overall garment length, but if there’s something specific you’d like changing, just let us know.
Because everything is made in-house in Leeds by a very small two-person team, alteration requests can be picked up before your piece is finished rather than sent off somewhere else afterwards.
You’ll see an Alterations box in the cart where you can leave your request. If anything needs checking, we’ll get in touch by email before making the piece.
How long will my order actually take to arrive?
Everything is made to order by hand in the Leeds studio, so there’s a short making time before your parcel leaves.
There are only two people producing the garments, and each piece is cut, sewn, finished and checked in-house rather than pulled from pre-made stock.
The normal aim is to have your piece ready to ship within 3–5 working days. After that, delivery time depends on the shipping option chosen at checkout.
In most cases, you shouldn’t be waiting much longer than around 10 working days in total from ordering to receiving your piece.
It takes a little longer than buying something off a warehouse shelf, but that extra time is what allows the garments to be made properly, in small numbers and specifically for the people ordering them.
Will sold-out pieces ever come back?
Sometimes, but not always.
Core fabrics and long-standing styles may return, but a lot of the range is made using limited or deadstock materials. Once those fabrics are used up, there often simply isn’t any more available to buy.
That can mean a run is only a handful of garments.
If something disappears because the fabric is gone, it genuinely may not come back in exactly the same form. It’s one of the trade-offs of keeping production small and working with materials we actually want to use rather than ordering huge quantities just to keep everything permanently in stock.
How do i know what size to order?
Every product page includes garment measurements so you can compare them against something you already own and know fits well.
The same model is also used across the majority of the product photography to give you a consistent reference from one garment to the next.
If you’re between sizes or just aren’t sure, get in touch before ordering. We know the patterns and fits inside out, so we’re always happy to point you in the right direction.
And if the fit needs a small adjustment once it arrives, free alterations are there for exactly that reason.
Where do you source your fabrics?
As much as possible is kept close to home — not just the making, but the materials too.
A lot of the fabrics in the core range come from UK suppliers chosen for quality, durability and how well they’ll wear over time. Special fabrics are also sourced from mills and suppliers across Europe and Japan when something particularly good comes along.
A lot of deadstock fabric is used too. That’s surplus material left over by mills, manufacturers or larger fashion brands that might otherwise go unused.
It means some really special fabrics become available, but often in very limited quantities. Sometimes there’s only enough for 3, 5 or 10 garments, which is why many Glorydays pieces genuinely don’t come back once they’re gone.
Keeping production in-house and working this way also means fabric can be used much more carefully, rather than overproducing stock that may never be sold.
Why do you not hold stock for ready to ship items?
Because making things to order is a huge part of what Glorydays is about.
When a garment is cut, it’s being made for an actual customer rather than produced just to sit on a shelf. With only two people making the pieces in the Leeds studio, that keeps production small, controlled and focused on quality rather than volume.
It also means alterations can be built into the process, limited fabrics can be used more efficiently, and unnecessary stock isn’t produced.
A lot of the fabrics used are available in genuinely small quantities, so making only what’s needed helps make the most of them without creating waste.
It takes a little longer than pulling something off a warehouse shelf, but the result is a garment that’s been made here in the UK, in small numbers, with a lot more attention than mass-produced clothing usually gets.
And because the pieces are made to be worn for a long time, they’re also backed by free alterations and the lifetime guarantee.
What does the lifetime guarantee cover?
The idea behind the lifetime guarantee is pretty simple: if you’ve bought something from Glorydays, we want to help you keep wearing it for as long as possible.
The garments are made here in the Leeds studio, so if something needs attention further down the line, you can come back to the same small team that made it in the first place.
If a piece ever needs repairing, adjusting or looking at, just get in touch. We’ll assess what can be done and always try to find the most sensible way of keeping the garment in use rather than replacing it.
